UMRI-SEA is a laboratory of the Ecole Doctorale Polytechnique (EDP). UMRI-SEA&#8217;s policy is defined by the deliberations of ENSEA&#8217;s Scientific Council. The aim of doctoral training at UMRI-SEA is to train graduates capable of carrying out high-quality research in the academic, private or public sectors. An additional year may be granted by the Director of ENSEA, on the basis of a reasoned request from the candidate and his\/her thesis supervisor, after consulting the Director of UMRI and obtaining the agreement of the EDP. During their studies, doctoral students take part in courses (teaching, specialty seminars, cross-disciplinary seminars and professional integration seminars) and research internships organized by UMRI-SEA managers. The first phase is an analysis of the applications, on the basis of which a shortlist of candidates will be drawn up. The second phase consists of an oral interview with the candidates shortlisted at the end of the first phase. A telephone interview (via Skype or any other means of communication) is organized for candidates residing outside C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire.
